Why Golfers Lose Rotation (and What I Check For)
If your sings feels shorter than it used to, or you finish a round with a sore lower back , or tight hips, you're not alone. I work with golfers across Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, and the South Bay, and the same questions come up again and again.
What the swing asks of your body
A golf swing repeats the same demand hundreds of times a round. Your hips, mid-back, and shoulders have to shar the work of turning. When one area stops contributing well, another one usually picks up the slack. Over time that can show up as lost rotation, an inconsistent swing, or aches that keep coming back.
What I look at
As a MAT credentialed performance coach, I start with an assessment. I check how you move and how specific muscles respond, especially around the hips, trunk, feet and shoulders. The goal is to find where your body isn't sharing the work, so we can address the cause and not just chase symptoms
How training fits in
Once we know what's limiting you, I build strength and mobility work around your swing and your goals. That might mean rotational strength, hip and trunk stability, or recovery between rounds. It's tailored to you and not a generic golf workout.
